Naruto: Got a Glimpse

Photo Insight:
I LOVE this shot. This was all about timing and we managed to get in two shots. The wind had be super rough all day and when we intially went outside, Sakura's skirt kept flying up. Well, we decided that it'd be funny doing this sort of shot, but wind completely died down. So we had our sakura hold up Sakura's skirt and let go at the count of 3. Our first shot I was just slightly off and the papers just went down all together instead of everyone. But then we had our Naruto spread out the papers in her hands a bit and it came out perfectly. Sasuke's hand actually did get the shot, but I edited his arm completely out. And that is how this photo came about.

First LARGE group photoshoot I did! I'm pretty happy with the results despite my main flash breaking right before this shoot! T_T But I was so excited to shoot an Alpha Trolls group! And I'm pretty pleased with the results!

So I opted out of using flash for these photo because I really like the horror feel of natural lighting in these locations and it was perfect for Silent Hill.

I always like taking photos at this time of day, where the sun gives a glow behind the cosplayers so it's like I have a second flash when I don't!

Photo Insight:
So since my current flash doesn't work well without diffusers, I opted to do a shoot with no flash for a change. And I really glad I did. I thought everything came out great and different from how I usually do photos.

Events for the rest of the year.

So pretty much this month starts the cons and meetups galore for the next few months! So I figured I'd give an update on what I'm going to for the rest of the year.(will update this list as needed)

Navy Pier meetup(April 13): Running the meetup with Alex with be taking photos and dressing as Tahno.

ACen(May 17-19): COMPLETELY BOOKED FOR SHOOTS. Going to be doing photoshoots for the entirety of the weekend. I'm also hosting a DRRR panel and a UtaPri panel on saturday!

Heather's Bday Meetup(June 16): Just gonna be chilling with peeps.

Botanic Gardens Meetup: An invite only event I host every year to only people I know. Going to be doing alot of photography this day.

Anime Midwest(July 5-7): I probably will only be there friday and sat. I'll be doing shoots

SoyCon(July 19-21): Pretty much going to be photographing the event and doing photoshoots.

RamenCon(September 20-22): I'll be doing shoots.

YoumaCon: Not sure if I'll be going til closer to the convention.

KollisionCon(November 15-17): I'll be doing shoots.

Hello, I'm CosplayerWithCamera! I'm a photographer from the midwest by Chicago! So i usually attend most Illinois conventions and some conventions in neighboring states. I am very passionate about both cosplay and photography so I usually am in full cosplay when doing photoshoots.

35mm f/1.8 lens
Yongnuo YN-560 II flash
~~SB-600 flash~~
Minolta flash(super ancient and for a film camera, works good for a secondary flash tho)

Strobies flash diffuser kit(mini beauty dish, globe diffuser(aka fishbowl), snoot, honeycomb)
