Wow, totally thought I had a journal made around KollisionCon time complaining about hallway con, but I guess not? Welp...


So well, KollisionCon happened....only one shoot was shot cuz WOW shitty location this year. I've roomed at Crowne Plaza for ACen but it's alot less shitty when the con isn't AT that hotel. Literally no space what so ever for photos. And the best space it was outside and it rained all weekend. So yeah...

Then I didn't do any photoshoots until UchiCon that was in the beginning of february. It was snowing all day and got some super awesome shots cuz of it. New location was great. Can't wait to shoot again there next year.

Then this past weekend I shot with as Mirai from KnK with my new 50mm!! Got some pretty shots. You guys will probably see them more the end of this month. 

Upcoming stuff, I have KaroshiCon at the end of the month. So that'll be nice. I don't think I have anything officially planned til ACen. But I'll probably have random private shoots somewhere between that empty space.

Got back from RamenCon a few weeks ago. Was 'eh' this year as a con. But had fun hanging with friends. Got some great shoots. Shot a few new people and alot of regulars, too. Still editing everything since I got a new hard drive and had to transfer all my stuff over. I'll post some up once I get everything edited.

Summer blew past pretty quickly! Attending alot of things. In June I got to go to an Anderson Garden's meetup. Got some lovely shots. Then just two weeks after hosted by Botanic Gardens meetup. Was alot of fun and got some great shots. BUT fucked up my ankle and let me out of work for a full month and then slowly inched back into work. Then july I was a photographer at SoyCon. I'll go through those photos later to submit some here. I did a random private shoots and hung out with friends alot. I also went to Midwest for a day. Then last weekend I hosted a small meetup at the Osaka Gardens. Got some really great shots. I learned alot over this summer with photos so I really hope to improve over the fall.

So pretty much this month starts the cons and meetups galore for the next few months! So I figured I'd give an update on what I'm going to for the rest of the year.(will update this list as needed)

Navy Pier meetup(April 13): Running the meetup with Alex with be taking photos and dressing as Tahno.

Botanic Gardens Meetup: An invite only event I host every year to only people I know. Going to be doing alot of photography this day.

Anime Midwest(Friday July 5 ONLY): I probably will only be there friday. I'll be doing shoots

SoyCon(July 19-21): Pretty much going to be photographing the event and doing photoshoots.

RamenCon(September 20-22): I'll be doing shoots.

YoumaCon: Not sure if I'll be going til closer to the convention.

KollisionCon(November 15-17): I'll be doing shoots.

So last week, I got my new flash to replace my old one. So this weekend I did a photoshoot with as Chie from Persona. Got some nice photos despite Alex being freezing while Charles took photos of Cameron. We would've switched off but it was too cold to stay out any longer. >_<

I'm pretty happy with the flash though. Though now none of my strobies fit so I just bought a flex mount for it so I won't have that issue so I'll still be able to use them.


So upcoming things:

KaroshiCon. I'll be there doing photoshoots and cosplaying as Kurloz and Troll!Jade. So if you go find me.

A navy pier meetup. Of course doing photos and then also cosplay Tahno.

C2E2 is a maybe right now. If I go I'll probably just bring Tahno again. And that's it for march and april.
